What this means for you

The figures help show how much of the electricity supplied to distribution companies eventually turns into money collected from customers.

Gaps can come from several areas, including electricity that is not properly billed and bills that customers do not pay.

Poor recovery can affect the finances of the electricity industry, but these figures alone do not determine what an individual customer will pay for electricity.
