Early life and education

Oborevwori was born on 19 June 1963 in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area. He attended Alegbo Primary School and Oghareki Grammar School. He earned a Political Science degree from Ambrose Alli University in 2004 and a master’s degree in the subject from Delta State University in 2010.

Local politics and the state legislature

His earlier public service included a councillorship. In 2015, he was elected to represent Okpe in the state House of Assembly. He became Speaker in May 2017 and returned for a second term as Speaker after the 2019 election.

From Speaker to Governor
